SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission is hereby authorized
and empowered to construct and thereafter maintain as a part
of the State Roads System, an improved concrete highway
from Bureau to Grove, in Caroline County, as surveyed for a
distance of five and one-sixth miles.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the State Roads
Commission is hereby empowered to allot for the construction
of said road a sufficient amount out of the funds appropri-
ated by the United States Government to the State of Mary-
land for the purpose of constructing Federal aid Roads and
out of the State funds available for constructing said Federal
Aid Roads.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1. 1918.

CHAPTER 389.
AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission to construct
an improved road beginning at the western terminus of the
town limits of Brunswick, in Frederick County, Maryland,
to run to and connect with the present State road at Knox-
ville, in Frederick County, Maryland, along the route of the
present Knoxville road, a distance of about two and a half
miles.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission is hereby authorized
and directed as soon after the passage of this Act as prac-
ticable to build and construct and thereafter maintain as a part
of the State Roads System a good and substantial road of
proper width to run from the western terminus of the present
town limits of Brunswick, in Frederick County, Maryland, tu,
and connect with, the present State Road in the town of Knox-
ville, in Frederick County, Maryland, along the route of the
present Knoxville road, or any route to be laid out by the said
State Roads Commission.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum of Fifty
Thousand Dollars be and the same is hereby appropriated to
the State Roads Commission out of any money in the State
