SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Baltimore
and Sparrow's Point Railroad Company be and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to reconstruct the said bridges- now
maintained by it over Colgate and Bear Creeks^ or either of
them, upon the site or sites now respectively occupied by the
said bridges or upon some other site or sites when the plan or
plans adopted by the said Baltimore and Sparrow's Point Rail-
road Company for the reconstruction of the said bridges, or
either of them, shall have been submitted to and shall have
received the approval of the Board of Public Works of the
State of Maryland and of the Federal authorities in accord-
ance with the provisions of the statute laws of the State of
Maryland and of the United States, respectively, in such cases
made and provided.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, A. D. 1918.

CHAPTER 372.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the State Roads Commis-
sion of Maryland to purchase and take over the Frederick
and Woodsboro Turnpike Road, in Frederick County, and
to maintain the same as a State road.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission be and the same is
hereby authorized and empowered to purchase and take over
the Frederick and Woodsboro Turnpike road, running from
Frederick to Ceresville, and to maintain the same as a State
road under the law in reference to the construction and main-
tenance of other State highways, and the acquisition of land
and material therefor, and for the purpose of defraying the
cost of the purchase, construction and maintenance of said
road or any part thereof, the State Roads Commission is here-
by authorised and empowered to use any portion of the fund
now in or which, may remain in its hands from appropriations
heretofore made or to be made, for the constructions of State
roads in Maryland; and if there be no such balance, or if such
balance be insufficient for such purpose, then the State Roads
Commission is hereby further authorized and empowered to
use so much of any funds appropriated for the general pur-
