1326 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 610.

AN ACT to incorporate the Short Line Terminal Company, a
railroad corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That John Wilson Brown, Arthur D. Foster, Shellman B.
Brown, Daniel R. Randall and J. Winfield Henry, all citizens
of the State of Maryland, and their successors in office, are
hereby created a body corporate as a railroad corporation,
under the name of the Short Line Terminal Company, and the
said incorporators are hereby constituted and appointed the
directors of said company, and they shall have power at any
time after the passage of this Act to organize by the election
of a president and such other officers, as may, in their judg-
ment, be to them necessary for the proper management of the
affairs of the said company.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said corporation
under the above name shall be capable in law of purchasing,
holding, selling and conveying property, real, personal and
mixed, as far as shall be necessary for the purpose hereinafter
mentioned, and shall have perpetual succession, and by such
corporate name may sue and be sued, and to make and have
and use a common seal, and the same to alter and renew at
their pleasure, and shall have and enjoy and may exercise all
the powers, rights, privileges, acts, matters and things incident
and necessary to the purposes of said corporation as created by
this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the company hereby
incorporated be and it is hereby authorized and empowered to
construct, maintain and operate a railroad or railroads, with a
single or double track, with such sidetracks, turnouts, offices
and depots, as they may deem necessary from a convenient
point or points, in the discretion of its board of directors, in
Baltimore county, to some convenient point or points in the
city of Baltimore; and, particularly, a railroad from a con-
venient point at or near Clifford's, in Baltimore county, on the
line of the railroad belonging to the Maryland Electric Rail-
ways Company (with the right to connect at the said point
with the said railroad of the said corporation last named), to
some convenient point or points in the city of Baltimore; and
to lay tracks, and build, maintain and operate its railroad or
