PRIVATE ACTS. 1327

railroads in Baltimore county, either wholly as a surface rail-
road or railroads, or partly as a surface railroad or railroads
and partly upon a structure or structures raised or built up
above or below the surface or level of the ground; and to lay
tracks and build, maintain and operate its railroad or railroads
in Baltimore city on, over, under and across such streets and
highways as the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore may au-
thorize and permit to be so used or crossed, either wholly or
partly as a surface or underground railroad or railroads, or
wholly or partly upon a structure or structures raised or built
up above or below the surface or level of such streets; and also
over and upon such private rights of way or properties as it
may acquire by purchase, condemnation or otherwise, either at
or raised or built up above or below the present grade as afore-
said, as in the judgment of the board of directors of the Short
Line Terminal Company may be most expedient, with the
proper approaches to such structure or structures as may be so
raised or built up; provided, however, that the Short Line
Terminal Company shall obtain the consent of the municipal
authorities before being allowed to pass through the city of Bal-
timore as aforesaid, as required by section 255 of article 23 of
the Code of Public General Laws (as legalized by the Act of
1904, chapter 72), title "Corporations," sub-title "Railroad
Companies," and shall conform to the provisions of sections 7
to 11, inclusive, and section 37 of article 4, entitled "City of
Baltimore," of the Public Local Laws of Maryland; all cross-
ings of railroad tracks to be subject to the provisions cdntained
in article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland,
entitled "Corporations," sub-title "Railroad Companies," relat-
ing to crossing by railroad companies of the tracks of other
railroad companies; and all crossings of intersecting railroad
tracks now constructed or which may hereafter be constructed
to be by overhead crossings or otherwise as may, In the judg-
ment of the board of directors of the said the Short Line Termi-
nal Company, be most expedient.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said Short Line
Terminal Company, its successors and assigns, shall have and
enjoy all of the general powers, provisions and privileges con-
tained in article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Corporations."

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the said Short Line
Terminal Company, its successors and assigns, be and it is
hereby authorized and empowered, in order to enjoy the rights,
powers, privileges and franchises hereby granted, to construct
its railroad terminals and other stations; to acquire land or
property of any individual or corporation or private right of
