LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Mechanical Society, a corporation duly formed under the
provisions of Article twenty- three of the Code of Public
General Laws of the State of Maryland, be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read
as follows;
ARTICLE 7. The society shall meet annually in the town of

Elkton in said county, on the second Tuesday of January in
each year, at eleven o'clock, and at such other time and places
as the board of directors may appoint, and at said annual meet-
ing a board of directors shall be elected by a majority of the
stockholders present at said meeting, and in default of an elec-
tion, the old board shall hold over, and a majority of the
stockholders present at any meeting of said society shall be
empowered and authorized to transact all the business of said
society.

CHAPTER 347.
AN ACT to ratify and confirm a deed of conveyance dated
the 21st day of October, 1896, by the Board of County
School Commissioners of Wicomico County, to jS. L. John-
son, and to authorize and empower the said Board of County
School Commissioners to execute and deliver to the said
Johnson a confirmatory deed of the property described in
the said deed.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The Board of County School Commissioners of
Wicomico county, heretofore, to wit, on the 21st day of Octo-
ber, 1896, executed and delivered a deed of conveyance to S.
L. Johnson of a lot or parcel of land in Salisbury, Wicomico
county, Maryland, described as follows: Beginning at the
northwest corner of the land owned by the said Johnson, and
running thence by and with the land of the said Johnson, and
the land of Thomas E. Adkins and Margaret E. Parsons in a
southerly direction to an alley ; thence in a westerly direction
by and with the said alley a distance of 30 feet \ thence in a
northerly direction parallel to the first line to a point on an.
alley known as "Bill Alley ;" thence by and with the said alley
30 feet to the beginning ; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The parties thereto are desirous that the title of
the said Johnson in and to the property eo conveyed, or
attempted to be conveyed, shall be confirmed and made good ;
