byterian congregation, in Baltimore city, has also
purchased a lot of ground on the north side of
Franklin street, and received a deed in fee sim-
ple therefor from Joseph M. Cone, Wilton Snow-
den and Adela B. Snowden, dated April twenty-
eighth, A.D. eighteen hundred and eighty-seven,
and recorded in said land records, liber J. B.,
number eleven hundred and thirty-eight, folio
three hundred and seventeen, &c., subject to a
certain outstanding mortgage for the sum of

five thousand dollars, which mortgage said con-
gregation is desirous hereafter to pay and re-
ceive a valid release therefor ; and whereas
doubts have been suggested as to the validity
of the said lease and deed in fee of the lot of
ground on the southwest corner of Fayette and
Fremont streets, and of the deed in fee of the lot
of ground on Franklin street, and of any release
of said mortgage that may hereafter be made in
the said Westminster Presbyterian congrega-
tion, in the city of Baltimore, of the mortgage
now upon said Franklin street lot until the sanc-
tion of the said general assembly shall have
been given to said lease and deed in fee of the
Fayette street property, and to the deed in fee
of the Franklin street property, and to the re-
lease of said mortgage to the said Westminster
Presbyterian congregation, in the city of Balti-
more, when hereafter obtained.
SECTION 1. Therefore be it enacted by the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, That its sanction is
hereby given and declared to the above-men-

tioned lease and deed in fee of the lot of ground,
southwest corner Fayette and Fremont streets,
from Joseph Baugher and wife to the Westmin-
ster Presbyterian congregation, in the city of
Baltimore ; said lease bearing date May eight-
eenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, and re-
corded among the land records of Baltimore city,
in liber G. R., number three hundred and seventy-
six, folio two hundred and twelve, &c.; and the
deed in fee, bearing date April twenty-seventh,
eighteen hundred and seventy-one, and recorded
in same records, liber G. R., number five hun-
dred and eleven, folio three hundred and eleven,
&c.; and to the above-mentioned deed in fee of
the Franklin street property, from Joseph M.
