LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Cone, Wilton Snowden and Adela B. Snowden to
said Westminster Presbyterian congregation, in
the city of Baltimore, which deed is dated April
twenty-eighth, A. D. eighteen hundred and

ber eleven hundred and thirty-eight, folio three
hundred and seventeen, &c.; and to the acquisi-
tion by the said Westminster Presbyterian con-
gregation, in the city of Baltimore, of said two
lots of ground by the lease and deeds above-men-
tioned, and to any release of mortgage which
may hereafter be made to said Westminster
Presbyterian congregation, in the city of Balti-
more, of the mortgage now upon said Franklin
street lot of ground.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 495.

AN ACT to provide for the granting of license
to real estate brokers in the city of Baltimore,
and to regulate the mode of carrying on the
business of real estate brokerage in said city.

SECTION 1. B e it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That any person, co-partnership
or firm applying for the same, and paying the
sum or sums of money herein provided, may ob-
tain a license for carrying on the business of real

that the names of each and every person com-
prising any co-partnership or firm applying for
such license shall be inserted in said license ;
provided that the sum or sums of money to be
paid therefor as aforesaid shall be twenty-five
dollars for the first two names inserted in said
license, and twenty-five dollars additional for
each and every name above two inserted therein.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any person, co-
partnership or firm who shall carry on the busi-
ness of real estate broker, or shall undertake to
