Chapter 131.

AN ACT to repeal the act entitled "An act to
authorize the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore to issue the stock of said corporation to
an amount not exceeding five millions of dol-
lars for permanent public improvements, the
opening of streets and constructing sewers,"
approved May the third, eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section one of the act en-
titled " An act to authorize the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to issue the stock of said
corporation to an amount not exceeding five mil-
lions of dollars, for permanent public improve-
ments, the opening of streets and constructing
sewers," approved May the third, eighteen hun-
dred and eighty -two, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

land, That the mayor and city council of Balti-
