clerk, and registered in a book to be kept by said clerk, and
said bonds, issued under the provisions of this act, shall be
exempt from all county and municipal taxation.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said bonds shall be payable
at such times as may be determined by said burgess and com-
missioners, not exceeding twenty (20) years from the date
thereof.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said burgess and commis-
sioners are hereby authorized and required to sell said bonds to
the best advantage for cash; provided, however, that they shall
not sell any bond issued under this act for less than par.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That said burgess and commis-
sioners be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
subscribe to the capital stock of any railway company now
incorporated or to be incorporated, to build a railway between
Boonsborough and Keedysville in Washington county, Mary-
land, or if a railway, electric light and power company so
located, and to use the money arising from the sale of bonds
issued under this act in payment of said subscription.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the paid burgess and com-
missioners shall in each year levy upon the assessable prop-
erty in said town of Boonsborough, such sum of money as
may be necessary to pay the interest on the outstanding bonds
issued under this act, as same shall fall due, and also such sums
of money as shall be necessary to pay said bonds as they
become due and payable from time to time; and said sums
when collected shall be held sacred by them, and shall not be
used for any other purpose than the payments of the interest
on and the redemption of said bonds; and said taxes so levied
for said purposes shalt be collected as other taxes are collected
in said town.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the question of the approval
of this act shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said
town of Boonsborough, at a special election to be held at such
time as may be fixed by said burgess and commissioners, within
six months after the passage of this act, and which election
shall be held in accordance with the law governing elections
in said town; and the burgess and commissioners shall, at least
two weeks previous to said election, cause public notice to be
given of the time and purpose of said election by advertise-
