FRANK BROWN, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

CHAPTER 432.

AN ACT to provide for the purchase of the stock of the
Bay View Electric Light and Power Company of Baltimore
County, by the Chesapeake Water Company of Baltimore
County, and to authorize the consolidation of said com-
panies, and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assembly that
the Chesapeake Water Company of Baltimore County desires
to utilize a portion or all of the water and water rights belong-
ing to the Bay View Electric Light and Power Company of
Baltimore County, both said companies being organized
under the general laws of the State of Maryland, regulating
the formation of corporations, and if desired, to consolidate
the said companies, and for that purpose, that the said Chesa-
peake Water Company of Baltimore county be authorized to
acquire the rights and franchises of said Electric Light and
Power Company by purchase.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the said Bay View Electric Light and Power
Company of Baltimore County be and it is hereby authorized
to sell and dispose of any portion of the water and water
rights now owned or acquired by it, to the said Chesapeake
Water Company of Baltimore County, upon such terms as may
be mutually agreed by the directors, and a majority of the

stockholders of said respective companies; and that the said
respective companies be authorized and empowered to consoli-
date with each other, and to sell and dispose of the stock of
said Electric Light Company to the said Chesapeake Water
Company, upon such terms as mutually agreed upon by a
majority of their respective stockholders; and that in case of
consolidation, the said new company shall be called the Chesa-
peake Electric and Water Company of Baltimore County; and
said water company so consolidated shall have power to oper-
ate its electric plants, for the heating, lighting and power for
commercial and railway purposes.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Consolidated
Chesapeake Electric and Water Company of Baltimore County,
shall have the privilege to increase capital stock from time to
time by a vote of the stockholders, at a special meeting to be
called for that purpose, to two hundred thousand dollars; and
said company shall also have power from time to time to issue
