SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 762.

AN ACT to increase the capital stock and extend the powers
of the Northern Central Permanent Building and Loan
Association of Baltimore City.

WHEREAS, The Northern Central Permanent Building and
Loan Association of Baltimore City, a prosperous and pro-

general laws of this State, by charter duly approved and
recorded among the charter records of the Superior Court
of Baltimore city in liber R. T. A. No. 21, folio 62, etc., of
which association George H. Conn, Edwin W. Rouse, Charles
F. King, William M. Loden, William P. Boyer, Benjamin
F. Jones, Jacob S. Dehoff, Charles H. Zimmerman, Lamden
Bayles, John T. Considine and Edward Amos are the
directors, being successors of the incorporators thereof, they
and their successors shall have perpetual succession as such,
and they shall be and are hereby authorized to carry on the
objects of a homestead or a building association, or an asso-
ciation for the loan of money on real or personal property,
according to the provisions of the Public General Laws of
the State of Maryland; and also for carrying out the pur-
poses and objects of an association for buying, selling,
mortgaging, leasing, improving, disposing of or otherwise
dealing with lands in this State, according to the provisions
of the Public General Laws of this State.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the operations of
said corporation so formed are to be carried on in the city of
