and all switches leading to and from the same, and all neces-
sary turnouts and connections in said county, and to charge
for the carriage and conveyance of persons and property on
said railways such sums of money as the directors of said
company shall from time to time see proper to charge ; and the
course and route of said railway shall be as follows : The
said railway shall begin at Sparrows Point, in Baltimore
county, and run thence on the road leading therefrom to the
North Point road, and thence upon or along the North Point
road to the road formerly known as the Baltimore and Havre
de Grace turnpike road, and now commonly called the Phila-
delphia road, with the right of making a branch railway over
Bear creek leading from any convenient point on said North
Point road along Weis avenue, or other roads, avenues or
streets to the eastern limits of the city of Baltimore ; thence
in a northeasterly direction upon or along said road, and pass-
ing the Herring run track to the right thereof to Bowley's lane ;
thence upon or along Bowley's lane to Furley avenue, and
thence upon or along Furley avenue to Southern avenue,
crossing the Belair turnpike road at grade or otherwise at or
near Gardenville ; thence upon or along Southern avenue to
the Harford turnpike road, and thence crossing said Harford
turnpike road at grade or otherwise to reach or connect with
Grindpn lane, and thence upon or along Grindon lane to the
Hillen road, and thence upon or along the Hillen road to
Arlington avenue; thence upon or along said Arlington
avenue to the York turnpike road ; thence upon or along the
said York turnpike road to Cold Spring lane, and thence upon
or along Cold Spring lane, and continuing its course in
a westerly direction to the Old Pimlico road ; thence upon or
along the said Old Pimlico road to Rogers avenue ; thence
from the end or termination of Rogers avenue in a westerly
or northwesterly direction to the country road which leads
from Reisterstown turnpike road to the Old Liberty turnpike
road, passing by Mount Hope Retreat ; thence in a southerly
or southwesterly direction along public or county roads to the
Dogwood road, and thence upon or along the Dogwood road to
the town of Franklin, and thence southerly or southeasterly upon
or along lanes, roads or avenues there being, or otherwise, to
the Old Frederick road ; thence upon or along other lanes or
roads or other avenues, or otherwise, southerly to the Freder-
ick Turnpike road, at or in the neighborhood of North Bend ;
thence across the said Frederick Turnpike road, at grade or
otherwise, upon or along lanes, roads or avenues there being,
or otherwise, to the Maiden's Choice lane, at or near Kenwood
Station, on the Catonsville Short Line Railroad, and thence
upon or along said Maiden's Choice lane to Linden avenue;
