11. And be it enacted, That the office of said company
shall be in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the annual and all
other meetings of the company and the board of directors for
transacting the business of the company shall "be held at their
office in the aforesaid place, and at the annual meeting of the
company the members shall pass all by-laws, rules and regular
tions necessary for the well government of the affairs of said
corporation. It shall be the duty of the secretary and treas-
urer at such annual meetings to have all books and writings
concerning the company at such place of meeting, and any
member of the company shall be allowed to examine the
eame.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 557.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 2
of Chapter 712 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January Session, 1900, entitled an
Act to incorporate the Girdle Electric Railway Company,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Repeal
and re-enact.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
'Maryland, That section 2 of chapter 712 of the Acts of
1900, of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Girdle Electric Railway Company, be and
the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to read as
follows :

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the company hereby
incorporated shall have power to survey, locate, establish, con-
struct, equip, operate and maintain in Baltimore county, as
hereinafter mentioned, a double track or single track railway,
with as many sets of tracks, switches, turnouts and sidings as
said company shall deem expedient or proper for the trans-
portation and carriage of passengers, produce, stock, freight,
merchandise, parcels and packages in cars drawn or propelled
by electricity in any form, or by compressed air, or by any
other improved motive power, including steam, and either
separately, or in trains, and shall have full power and right
to erect and maintain all motors, engines, poles, conduits,
trenches, wires, cables and other connections and tilings neces-
sary for said purposes, and shall have further power to build
bridges, depots, stations, machinery, power houses, engine
houses, car barns and all other appurtenances to said railway,
