SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 334, of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, Session of 1890, be and the same is hereby
amended, by adding thereto the following section, to be
designated as section 4 A, to come in after section 4 of said
chapter.

4 A. That the signature of any person who shall sign the

certificate annexed to the application of any one who shall
apply for a license to sell spirituous or fermented liquors in
said county under the provisions of said chapter, shall not be
considered in making up the names of persons necessary to
secure such license, if such person shall sign such certificate
for more than one application for such a license.

SEC. 2. The provisions of this act shall not apply to dealers
who sell quantities of not less than a quart and not to be con-
sumed on the premises.

Exception.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage; provided, however, this act shall
not affect applications filed prior to the first day of April,
1896.

CHAPTER 437.

AN ACT to provide against injuries, cuts, punctures to pneu-
matic tires on vehicles.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That whoever wilfully places or causes to be placed in or

which may injure, cut or puncture any pneumatic tire, shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, to be tried before a justice of the
peace, and shall be fined not more than fifty dollars nor less
than five dollars.

SEC. 2. Such fines to be collected as other fines are collected
and when collected, to be paid into the road or street fund of
the county or municipal corporation in which they are col-
lected, provided that none of the provisions of this act shall
apply to Talbot or Wicomico counties.
