LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE GOVERNOR.

CHAPTER 336.
AN ACT to prohibit the laying of railway tracks upon por-
tions of Oak street, Hampden street, Cedar avenue, Elm
avenue and Merryman's lane, in the city of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That when the tracks of the Lake Roland Elevated Rail-
way Company now located upon Oak street, Hampden street,
Cedar avenue, Elm avenue and Merryman's lane, in the city of
Baltimore, shall have been removed therefrom, that thereafter
it shall not be lawful for any person or corporation to lay any
railway tracks upon the said portion of said streets which were
so occupied by the tracks of the Lake Roland Elevated Railway
Company without the consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland; provided, that this act shall not restrict in any way
the right of any passenger railway now incorporated or that
may hereafter be incorporated to grade said streets, when such
railway company shall be authorized by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore to use any street or avenue opening into
or crossing said before-mentioned streets and highways.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 337.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Electric Light and
Railway Company of Baltimore county, a corporation formed
by Chapter 477 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1892, by changing the name thereof to the Balti-
more and Northern Electric Railway Company, and to give
certain additional powers thereto.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the name of the Electric Light and Railway Com-
pany of Baltimore county, a corporation formed under chapter
477, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1892, be and the same is hereby changed to that of "The Bal-
timore and Northern Electric Railway Company."

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That section 7 of said chapter
477 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland oi
1892, be and the same is hereby repealed and re enacted, so as
to read as follows :
