ington, in Baltimore county, which said lot contains less than
one acre, and was conveyed to said church for the purpose of
the erection of a parsonage thereon, but the deed from said
Dixon and wife fails to state the purpose for which said lot
was to be used by said church, and is deemed, therefore, to be
inoperative and void under the provisions of Article 38 of the
Declaration of Rights of this State; and

WHEREAS, The congregation of said church determined to

build a new parsonage upon other land purchased by said
church, and sold said lot, conveyed as aforesaid to said church
by Thomas Dixon and wife, aforesaid, to Ira Day and Florence
G. Day, his wife; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The said Thomas Dixon has departed this life,
and in order to cure, as far as possible, all defects in said origi-
nal conveyance, bis widow, the said Rebecca H. Dixon, and all
the heirs of the late Thomas Dixon, at the request of said
church, joined in a conveyance of said property to the said Ira
Day and wife; and now, for the purpose or setting at rest all
questions as to the legality of the title of said Ira Day and
wife to said property, it is deemed desirable that the sanction
of the General Assembly of Maryland shall be given to said
original conveyance, and that the said General Assembly shall
also authorize the conveyance to the said Ira Day and wife of
all interest held by said church in said property, if any there
be; now, therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction of the General Assembly of Mary-
land be and it is hereby given to the conveyance of the prop-
erty situated in the village of Mount Washington, in Baltimore
county, which was conveyed by the late Thomas Dixon, and
by Rebecca H. Dixon, his wife, to the Presbyterian Church of
"Mount Washington," in Baltimore county, by deed dated the
15th day of September, 1881, and duly recorded among the
land records of Baltimore county, in Liber W. M. I. No. 124,
folio 440 and C; and the said Presbyterian Church of Mount
Washington, in Baltimore county, be and it is hereby author-
ized to execute to Ira Day and Florence G. Day, his wife, in
the manner provided by the laws and usages of said church,
and not inconsistent with the laws of this State for the con-
veyance of its property, a good and sufficient deed of all the
right, title and interest said church may have in said property,
it being the object and intention of this act to cure all existing
defects in said conveyance from Thomas Dixon and wife tc
