Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, It is desirable that the term of the county treas-
urer should expire simultaneously with the fiscal year in said
county, to wit., on the first Monday in July in each and every
year; therefore,
|

|
Term
extended,
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the term of office of George A. Deakyne, the present
county treasurer of Caroline county, be, and the same is hereby
extended until the first Monday in July, in the year 1898 ;
provided, however, that the said George A. Deakyne shall be
required to give a new bond in such sum and with such surety
or sureties as is now required by law, conditioned for the faith-
ful performance of the duties of his said office for the term
hereby extended.

Repeal.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That section 60 of article 6 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title " Caroline County," sub-title
" County Treasurer," be, and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows :

Election of
treasurer.
|
60. At the general election for county officers in every fourth
year on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November,
accounting from the year 1897, a county treasurer shall be
elected by the qualified voters of Caroline county, who shall
hold office for the term of four years from the first Monday in
July next following his election, and until his successor shall
qualify.

. CHAPTER 324.
AN ACT to grant the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the conveyance from Thomas H.
Dixon (since deceased) and wife, of certain real estate, situ-
ated in the village of "Mount Washington," to the Presby-
terian. Church of "Mount Washington," in Baltimore County,
and to authorize and give the sanction to said church, to
convey said property to Ira Day and Florence G. Day, his
wife.

on the 15th day of September, 1881, conveyed to the Presby-
terian Church of "Mount Washington," in Baltimore county
