SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 473.
AN ACT requiring the Baltimore and Ohio
Railroad Company to keep flagmen stationed
during certain hours at the crossing of said
railroad over the county road, in the village
of Point of Rocks, Frederick county, and
also at the crossing of said railroad over
county road, in the village of Adamstown,
Frederick county.
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company be and it is hereby
required to keep stationed from six o'olock, a.
m., until nine o'clock, p. m., on each and every

day, at the crossing of its said railroad over
the county road, in the village of Point of
Rocks, Frederick county, Maryland, and also
at the crossing of said railroad over the county
road, in the village of Adamstown, Frederick
county, Maryland, flagmen or signalmen to
warn persons using said roads and crossings
over said railroad at said crossings of the ap-
proach of trains upon said railroad.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad Company shall be
liable to pay a fine, of one hundred dollars for

Signalmen.

each day that said company shall neglect or
fail to comply with the provisions of this act,
one-half of said fine to go to the use of the
informer and the other half to the use of the
School Commissioners of Frederick county,
to be recovered in an action of debt in the
name of the State of Maryland, before any
