HENRY LLOYD, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

hereby intended to be authorized, excepting
and reserving to owners of land bordering on
said bay, as well as to owners within the limits
of said plat, if any there be, all rights ac-
quired by the laws of this State, and the County
Surveyor of Worcester county shall survey and
locate said additional plat with one Commis-
sioner, as provided by chapter three hundred
and fifty-five, acts of General Assembly, ses-
sion of eighteen hundred and eighty-four.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Com-
missioner of the Land Office shall grant a pit-

ent to the said Isle of Wight Inlet and Oyster
Planting Company, which patent or convey-
ance shall secure to the said company the right
to the full and complete privilege and profits
of said ground for the purpose of planting
oysters and other shell-fish, so long as said
company shall maintain and keep said inlet
open, so as to salt the waters for the above-
named purposes; provided, however, that the
said land herein described shall be forfeited by
said company and revert to the State of Mary-
land in case said inlet from any cause should

be closed; provided, the said company shall
have two years to reopen said inlet before for-
feiture shall take effect by this act; and it is
further specially provided, that said waters
covering said ground shall at all times be free
and open to navigation and the rights of fishing.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this company
shall have an additional period of two years
for the completion of the work beyond the
time named and provided for in chapter fifty-

and the amendments thereto, chapter three
hundred and fifty-five, as enacted at the ses-

visions of this act are hereby repealed.
