SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 130.
AN ACT to incorporate the Nanticoke and Wi-
comico Railroad Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That James M. Gordy, of
Dorchester county, Andrew J. Horsey, of Dela-
ware, John Robinson, of E., Thomas J. Twilly,
Thomas B. Taylor, Levin M. Wilson, Levin J.
Gale, George A. Bounds, John W. Willing,
George W. Robertson and E. Stanley Toadvine,
of Wicomico county, and their successors, be
and they are hereby constituted a body cor-

porate under the name and title of the "Nanti-
coke and Wicomico Railroad Company," and
shall be capable of purchasing, holding, sell-
ing, leasing and conveying estate and property
as natural persons; may have and use a com-
mon seal, sue and be sued, and have and enjoy
all the powers, rights, privileges, franchises
and immunities which any other corporation
may have and exercise for the purposes of
this act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital
stock of said corporation shall be two hun-
dred thousand dollars, divided into four
thousand shares, of the par value of fifty dol-
lars each, and shall be sold and paid for as

hereunder, or a majority of them; and if any
shares of stock remain unpaid for after the
payment thereof is requested, either in whole
or in part, the same may be forfeited to the
corporation and reissued or resold, as may be
