810 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 443

bounds of the lands required, is authorized and empow-
ered for and on behalf of the State of Maryland to grant
and convey to the United States of America all that tract
of land lying and being in Prince George's County, and
more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING, —for the same at the stone monument,
the coordinates of which are north 37, 004. 32 east 19, 318. 54,
that marks the corner formed by the intersection of the
boundary lines of the Truan tract, Buckley Brothers
tract, McNamee tract, and the University of Maryland
tract at College Park, Prince George's County, Maryland;
and running thence by and with the line between McNa-
mee and Engle on the one side and the University of
Maryland on the other side, south forty degrees, forty-
three minutes, twenty seconds west one thousand, three
hundred forty-five and eighty-one hundredths feet;
thence south no degrees, thirty minutes, thirteen seconds
east three hundred seventy-six and sixty-one one hun-
dredths feet; thence north eighty-nine degrees, twenty-
nine minutes, forty-seven seconds east nine hundred
fifty-one and forty-three one-hundredths feet; thence north
no degrees, thirty minutes thirteen seconds west one
thousand, three hundred fifty-eight and forty-six one-
hundredths feet to a point on the line between the Uni-
versity of Maryland-tract and the Truan tract; thence by
and with the line between the University of Maryland and
Truan north sixty-five degrees, eight minutes, forty sec-
onds west seventy-one and eighteen one-hundredths feet
to the point of beginning; and containing twenty and four
one-thousandths (20. 004) acres more or less.

The Governor of the State of Maryland shall have au-
thority, however for and on behalf of the State of Mary-
land, to make such changes in these metes and bounds
as may be necessary to conform to campus plans, pro-
vided such changes conform generally with the location
herein set forth and do not cause the total amount of
land to be ceded to exceed twenty and four one-thou-
sandths (20. 004) acres more or less.

The said Governor of the State of Maryland is further
authorized and empowered for and on behalf of the State
of Maryland to grant to the United States of America
for purposes of ingress or egress, a right of way not
more than twenty (20) feet wide running from said tract
in a southerly direction across the land now held for the
use of the University of Maryland to meet the Cold Spring
Road.
