CHAPTER 6.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County to borrow upon the
faith and credit of Anne Arundel County at any time
and from time to time sums not exceeding in the aggre-
gate Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000. 00) at
any one time outstanding, and to issue notes therefor,
to provide for the repayment of such sums as may be
so borrowed together with the interest thereon by taxes
levied upon all the assessable property in said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arun-
del County be and they hereby are authorized and empow-
ered to borrow upon the faith and credit of said County
such sum or sums at any time and from time to time as
they in their discretion may determine and deem necessary
to provide money for the payment of any obligations of
Anne Arundel County, provided, however, that the aggre-
gate principal amount of such sums so borrowed and out-
standing and unpaid at any one time shall not exceed Two
Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200, 000. 00).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County be and they here-
by are authorized and empowered to issue the notes of
said County for the sums so borrowed under the provisions
of this act at any time in such form as they may determine;
said notes shall be signed by the President of the said
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County and shall
be countersigned by the Clerk to said Commissioners; the
seal of said County Commissioners shall be affixed to each
note and the interest coupons thereto attached, if any,
shall be authenticated by the facsimile signature of the
Treasurer of said County, printed, engraved or litho-
graphed thereon. Said notes shall be dated at such times
as may be determined by said County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County and shall mature and be payable in
not exceeding twelve months from the date thereof.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That such notes as
may be issued under the provisions of this act shall be
and remain obligations of the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County issued upon the full faith and credit
of said County, and that said notes shall be issued and
sold in such manner and upon such terms and conditions
