bonds shall not be sold at private sale for less than par.
All interest accrued between the date of said bonds and
the time of the delivery of and payment for the same shall
be adjusted with the purchasers thereof to the date of such
payment. All payments of the purchase price of said
bonds shall be made to the County Treasurer of Anne Arun-
del County.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That after receiving
the purchase price for such of said bonds as may be sold
and paying therefrom all expenses of every character in-
cident to the issue, preparation and delivery thereof, the
residue of said proceeds, saving any accrued interest there-
on, which shall be set apart by said Treasurer for the
payment of the next maturing interest on said bonds, shall
be applied as promptly as possible by the Treasurer of
Anne Arundel County to the payment of such part of the
indebtedness of said County existing on January 1, 1933,
as may be due and payable during the year 1933, identified
on the books of the Treasurer as the floating debt of Anne
Arundel County, and evidenced by notes of the County
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County now outstanding
and maturing during said year.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of paying the interest on said bonds and paying the bonds
themselves as they respectively mature and are payable,
said County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County shall
annually until all of said bonds issued under the provisions
of this act shall have matured and been paid, levy a tax
upon all the assessable property in said County sufficient
to pay the annual interest on all of said bonds that may be
issued and outstanding as said interest becomes due and
payable, and also a tax in each year upon all of said assess-
able property in said County sufficient to pay the principal
of said bonds as said bonds respectively mature and are
due and payable.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and, having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the
two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
