To the State Roads Commission the proceeds of
|
|
|
|
|
100% (less refund exemptions and payments to
|
|
|
|
|
incorporated cities and towns) of the "Lateral
|
|
|
|
|
Road Gasoline Tax Fund" (l%c) after deducting
|
|
|
|
|
% of the appropriation for maintaining the Gaso-
|
|
|
|
|
line Tax Department in the office of the State
|
|
|
|
|
Comptroller, and after deducting the entire ap-
|
|
|
|
|
propriation set ovei to the use of the Conservation
|
|
|
|
|
Department for the purchase of oyster shells and
|
|
|
|
|
after deducting the entire appropriation to the
|
|
|
|
|
Chesapeake Bay Ferry Companies, in the propor-
|
|
|
|
|
tion as authorized, the amount named herein
|
|
|
|
|
being an estimate only, it being the intention
|
|
|
|
|
that this appropriation shall be 100% of the net
|
|
|
|
|
revenue aforesaid, and it being further the inten-
|
|
|
|
|
tion that should the proceeds of this tax exceed
|
|
|
|
|
the respective amounts herein set forth, then such
|
|
|
|
|
remainder shall not revert to the general fund of
|
|
|
|
|
the State, but shall be set over to the use of the
|
|
|
|
|
State Roads Commission, to be apportioned by
|
|
|
|
|
subsequent legislative action in like manner as
|
|
|
|
|
the sums hereby requested Out of the total reve-
|
|
|
|
|
nue, as aforesaid, the State Roads Commission
|
|
|
|
|
shall receive 30% of the net proceeds of 100%
|
|
|
|
|
for the use of Baltimore City for the construction
|
|
|
|
|
and maintenance of streets, highways, bridges
|
|
|
|
|
and other related construction projects as may be
|
|
|
|
|
performed within the corporate limits of Balti-
|
|
|
|
|
more City, the remaining: 10% of the net product
|
|
|
|
|
of the aforesaid revenue shall be received and
|
|
|
|
|
administered by the State Roads Commission and
|
|
|
|
|
by it apportioned to the use of the twenty-three
|
|
|
|
|
counties and expended by the State Roads Com-
|
|
|
|
|
mission for the construction of lateral roads form-
|
|
|
|
|
ing part of the State System of Highways and/or
|
|
|
|
|
the maintenance of improved and unimproved
|
|
|
|
|
County Roads and/or the application of so much
|
|
|
|
|
of the allotment to each County as may be re-
|
|
|
|
|
quired for existing Road Bond Debt Service
|
|
|
|
|
Construction and Maintenance of streets, highways,
|
|
|
|
|
bridges and other related construction projects
|
|
|
|
|
withm the corporate limits of Baltimore City
|
