CHAPTER 91.

AN ACT to make valid and effectual the acts of
Charles R. Stewart as Commissioner in the divi-
sion of the real estate of Nicholas Forester,
made in the year eighteen hundred and twenty-
three.

Passed Feb.
6, 1866.

WHEREAS, It has been represented to this General
Assembly, that a certain Nicholas Forester of Anne
Arundel county, died intestate, seized of a tract of
land, situated in the fifth election district of said
county, called, Holland's Choice, containing about
one hundred acres of land more or less, and that
Charles R. Stewart of said county, was by consent
of the heirs at law of said Forester, all of whom
were of full age at the time of his death, and the
parties claiming under same of said heirs ap-
pointed commissioner to lay off and divide said
land amongst the parties to whom of right it be-
longed, and that in the year eighteen hundred and
twenty-three, the said Stewart, commissioner, as
aforesaid, did proceed to lay out and divide the
same, and the said parties, and those claiming
under them, have continued to hold in severalty
the respective portions of land so laid off and
allotted to them, but no deeds were ever executed
by the parties confirming the said division, and
conveying to the respective parties their several
portions; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the act of Charles R. Stewart,
in making said division, and the said partition so
made by him, be and the same are hereby ratified
and confirmed, and made as valid and effectual to
all intent and purposes as if deeds had been regu-
larly executed between the parties to such division.,
ratifying and confirming the same, and the parties
now holding the said laud, and claiming under the
parties to the aforesaid division shall continue to
hold the same in severalty according to the lines
of the division and partition so as aforesaid made
by the said Charles R. Stewart,

Made valid.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
