AN ACT to vest the title to certain lands in Mont-
gomery County in certain parties, the reputed
widow and children of Richard Snowden, de-
ceased, a person of color.

Confirmed,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the title to the lands and pre-
mises mentioned in a deed of conveyance from
William W. Benton, and Hatty A. Benton, his
wife, to Richard Snowden, dated the thirtieth day
of September, in the year eighteen hundred and
sixty-three, and recorded amongst the land records
of Montgomery county in the State of Maryland,
and whereon the said Richard Snowden resided at
the time of his death, he, and the same is hereby
granted, -vested in, ratified and confirmed to Har-
riet Snowden, the reputed widow, and to Perry
Snowden, John Snowden, Richard Snowden, Sarah
Snowden, Albert Snowden, Henry Snowden, Grif-
fith Snowden, Mary Snowden, Annie Snowden and
James Snowden, the reputed children of said Rich-
ard Snowden, deceased, who was a person of color,
as fully and in like manner, as if the said Harriet
and Richard had been lawfully married, and their
said children had been born in lawful wedlock.
