SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Shenandoah

Valley Railroad Company, its successors and assigns,

may acquire by purchase, lease or otherwise, such

road of the said company, and the said railroad

turnouts that may be necessary and proper to effect

and maintain connection with the Western Mary-

land Railroad or any other railroad at or near Ha-

gerstown, and the said Shenandoah "Valley Railroad

Company is hereby fully authorized to form and

|
maintain such connection upon such terms and con-
|
 
|
ditions as may be agreed upon by and between the
|
 
|
said companies.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That Gortu Stevens, Alexander

Hardcastie, Andrew B. Roe, George H. More, Rich-
|
 
|
ard C. Carter, William H Dewese, Philip W. Downs,
|
 
|
Alfred J. Wilson, Henry S. Fisher, William G. Hor-
|
 
|
sey, John R. Fountain, Robert J. Jump, Charles H.
|
 
|
Todd, Edward R. Goslin, Robert M. Messick, of
|
 
|
Caroline county, and all other persons who may
|
 
|
hereafter become members of the corporation to be
|
 
|
created by this act, are hereby created, ordained and
|
 
|
declared to be a body politic and corporate by the
|

name, style and title of the Mutual Fire Insurance
