Mr. Hoblitzell offered the following as a substitute to Mr.
Goldsborough's motion,
That the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, through
its officers or agents, have the privilege of appearing before
the Ways and Means Committee and urging what may seem
right and proper why the bill and resolutions should not be
passed, or to hear, if any, what proposition they may have to
offer in addition to that announced in.their memorial, and
that the company shall report to the House by 11 o'clock
Friday next, to which time the further consideration of the
bill and resolutions shall be postponed.
Which was adopted.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates;
I have the honor of informing you that I have approved
and signed the following Act, which originated in the
House of Delegates:
No. 64. An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments,
an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at Jan-
uary Session, in the year 1868, ch. 234, approved March
30th, 1868, entitled "an Act supplementary and amendatory
of an Act, passed at the present Session of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland," entitled "an Act to amend the charter of
the Cumberland and Pennsylvania Railroad Company, pass-
ed at the January Session, 1849, ch. 469, and further repeal
and amend said last named Act."
