2236 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.

September, 1940, with interest from date, in favor of the
parties hereinafter named:

Harry T. Ambrose..............................................................................$9,000.

Novella E. Wharton, Executrix of Charles E.

Wharton ................................................................................................... 9,500.

Benj. F. Gibson. ............................................................................... 9,500.

Walter D. Gibson, Assignee of Oliver P. Gibson...... 9,500.

Walter L. Gibson.................................................................................... 9,500.

and

WHEREAS, No part of the said principal sum of said
judgments or of said interest thereon has ever been paid;
now, therefore be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be and he is hereby requested to include in a
supplement to the Budget of Appropriations for the fiscal
year beginning July 1, 1947, an item appropriating the
sum of Forty-seven Thousand ($47,000.) Dollars or such
gum as may be necessary for the purpose of paying to the
holders of said judgments the face amounts of said judg-
ments, without interest, the payment of said appropriation
to be made only if a favorable final ruling in the test pro-
ceedings now pending in the Circuit Court for Somerset
County is obtained by Harry T. Ambrose, a party to said
proceedings and one of the judgment holders herein, and
payment of said appropriation is made further contingent
upon the immediate entry of a waiver of the lien of his
judgment, if any there be, by each of the above judgment
holders as to any real estate that is owned by the State
of Maryland or in which the said State has an interest.

(Senate Joint Resolution 6)

A Senate Joint Resolution requesting the Governor to
appoint a non-partisan commission to study the feasi-
bility and desirability of transferring the ferry system
presently operating across the Chesapeake Bay between
Sandy Point and Matapeake to a location to the south
of the present operating termini, said commission to be
appointed by the Governor only in the event that the
