Senate bill entitled an Act to empower the Peoples' Pas-
senger Railway Company to accept subscriptions to its capi-

tal stock in personal property and real estate,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County to build a bridge over the
Black Water river at Shorttr's Wharf, in said county,

Was read the second time, andordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to prevent stock from running
at large in the 2d, 3d and 6th Election Districts of Caroline
County, and also to repeal Sections 82, 83, 84 and 85 of the
Public Local Laws of Caroline County, sub-title "Fences,"
so far as they relate to above Election Districts,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 34, of Article
12, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "Harford
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," and to re-enact
the same with amendments,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Chapter 437 of the Acts of 1874, and Chapter
405 of the Acts of 1876, relating to the catching of oysters
with scoop, scrape or dredge in the waters of Dorchester and
Talbot Counties,

Being upon its second reading,
Mr. Sulivane submitted the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of 1st section add, "and re-enacted with amend-
ments as follows."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to consolidate the Baltimore,
Hampden and Towsontown Railroad Company, incorporated
by the Act of 1868, Chapter 314, under the name of the Bal-
timore and Swann Lake Passenger Railroad Company, as

amended by the Act of 1874, Chapter 272, and the Baltimore,
