additional section to Article 27 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title 'Crimes and Punish-
ments,' sub-title 'Fraud,' by adding a new section
thereto, to be known as 'Section 119 B.' "
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore city delegation,
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to empower the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to acquire by
condemnation or otherwise, additional lots of ground
within the city of Baltimore for the erection of fire
engine houses, and to erect tire engine houses thereon,
and to purchase permanent equipments for extin-
guishing fires, including a new fire boat; and for such
purposes, or any of them, to appropriate from time to
time, subject to the jurisdiction of the Board of Esti-
mates, out of the sum of four million, four hundred
and twenty-two thousand, four hundred and sixty
dollars and seventy four cents, ($4,422,460.74) forming
part of the purchase price paid by the Fuller Syndi-
cate for the interests of the City of Baltimore in the
Western Maryland Railroad Company, and. heretofore
passed to the credit of the general sinking fund of
said city, sums not exceeding in the whole two hun-
dred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.)"
On motion of Mr. Kirbin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to require all rail-
road companies and corporations, and all persons run-
ning or operating cars or coaches by steam on any
railroad line or track in the State of Maryland, for
the transportation of passengers, to provide separate
cars or coaches for white and colored passengers,
without any difference or discrimination in the quality
of, or accommodation in such cars and coaches.
On motion of Mr. Goslin,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judic-
iary to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to authorize
and empower Joseph H. Bernard, Thomas H. Jarman,
Thomas E. Curry, Robert J. Raughley, Wm. J. Moore,
Clinton B. Jarman, Theo. L. Jackson, Saml. J. Bel-
brough and Henry Dortheigh, Trustees of the Metho-
