dist Episcopal Church, in Greensboro, Caroline county,
Maryland, or a majority of them, to sell said church
and apply the proceeds arising from said sale to the
building and completion of the New Methodist Epis-
copal Church now being built in said town of Greens-
boro, Maryland."
Mr. Collins submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 18th, 1904.
Gentlemen of the Senate :
We have received your message, proposing that the
Senate and House of Delegates, shall proceed openly,
at the hour of 12 o'clock, meridian, on Tuesday, Janu-
ary 19th, 1904, in their respective Chambers, in the
manner provided by Chapter 1, of title 2, of the Re-
vised Statutes of the United States, viva voce vote of
each member present in each House, to name one per-
son as a Senator in Congress from this State, for the
term of six years from March 4th. 1905, in succession
to Hon. Louis E. McComas, whose term will then ex-
pire, and that the members of the Senate and the
members of the House of Delegates, shall at 12 o'clock,
meridian, on Wednesday, January 20th, 1904, convene
in Joint Assembly, in the Hall of the House of Dele-
gates, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1,
of title 2, of said Revised Statutes of the United States,
and that the Speaker of the Hoiise of Delegates shall
be Chairman of such Joint Assembly, and that the
business of electing a Senator in Congress from the
State for the term aforesaid, shall then be proceeded
with by said Joint Assembly, and we concur therein.
