A bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 426 of the
Acts of 1898, entitled 'Au Act to extend the corporate
limits of the city of Cumberland, Maryland,' and to
provide for the extension of Washington street, to
said limits as extended and for the grading, 'paving
and otherwise improving said Washington street as
extended and Brook-avenue, lying within the present
city limits and contiguous to said proposed extension,
and to enact the following in lieu thereof 'An Act to
extend the corporate limits of the city of Cumberland,
Maryland, and to provide for the extension, laying off,
grading, paving and otherwise improving of Wash-
ington street from the west side of lot No. 72 (in
Read's Addition to the city of Cumberland), in a
westerly direction about, twenty-one hundred feet to
Sulphur Spring, Hollow Road, at a point to be deter-
mined by the Commissioners appointed under this
Act.' "
