CHAPTER
60.
AN ACT to alter and amend an act entitled, an act to
incorporate the Baltimore and Philadelphia Rail Road
Company, passed at January session eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter three hundred and twenty-six.

Repealed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the eleventh section, and so much
of the tenth section of the act passed at the January
session eighteen hundred and fifty-two, entitled, an act
to incorporate the Baltimore, and Philadelphia rail road
company, chapter three hundred and twenty-six, as
makes the stockholders of said company, jointly and
severally liable for the debts due and owing to any of its
laborers and servants for services performed for said company,
be, and the same are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER
61.
AN ACT declaring the assent of the Legislature to a
certain bequest of Jane Pagan, late of Dorchester
county, deceased.
|
Assent given.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the assent of the Legislature of
Maryland is hereby given to the legacy of fifty dollars,
bequeathed by Jane Pagan, late of Dorchester county,
deceased, to the Methodist Episcopal church on Taylor's
Island, in said county.

That this act shall go
into effect from the date of its passage.
