SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect


from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 46.


AN ACT to refund to John C. Tucker, late collector of


State taxes in the third election district of Harford


County the sum of eleven dollars and ninety five cents


heretofore erroneously paid by the said John C. Tucker,


into the Treasury of the State.


SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That on the warrant of the Comptroller, the


Treasurer of the State is hereby directed to pay to John C.


Tucker, late collector of State taxes in the third election


district of Harford county, the sum of eleven dollars and


ninety-five cents, being the amount due the said John C.


Tucker on the books of the Comptroller for over payment


into the Treasury of the State, and which amount is by the


said Comptroller and Treasurer recommended to be paid.

CHAPTER 47.


AN ACT to sanction a lease of real estate from John


Eager Howard to the vestry of " Saint Stephen's Church,


Baltimore," said lease having been executed the ninth


day of May, eighteen hundred and fifty-seven.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the leave and assent of the Legislature be

a lot of ground on the north-east corner of Hanover street
