SEC. 27. And be it enacted, That the commissioners shall have


power to establish the original building lines on all the streets in


said town as far as practicable without removing present buildings;

town will justify; but this section shall not be construed as inter-


fering in any manner with the rights of the Brookeville and Wash-
ington turnpike company in maintaining their road through said

CHAPTER 119.


AN ACT to provide for the leasing of certain wharf property in


the city of Baltimore, in front of State tobacco warehouse num-


ber three, belonging to the State of Maryland.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That the board of public works in this State be and they are hereby
authorized to lease in the name and on the part of the State of


Maryland, the wharf in front of State tobacco warehouse number


three, on Light street, in the city of Baltimore, for any period or


successive periods of time, not exceeding in all the period of ten


years, accounting from the first day of May, in the year eighteen


hundred and ninety, at an annual rental of not less than one thou-


sand dollars per year, to be paid half yearly, accounting from the

first day of May in each year, to the State of Maryland; but it is
hereby declared and shall be provided in any such lease so made,


that sail vessels bringing tobacco to the State tobacco warehouses


or any of them, shall always have access to the south side of the


wharf or pier built from said wharf free from all charges for


wharfage on such vessels or their respective cargoes, for the purpose
