ance of said notice, sell the said Eastern Shore Kail-


road and all the rolling stock, property, furniture,


effects, corporate rights and franchises of the said


Eastern Shore Railroad Company to a certain Wil-


liam L. Schaeffer and William G. Longstreth, of the


State of Pennsylvania, and John T. Gause, of the


State of Delaware, a purchasing committee appoint-


to act for and in behalf of all the holders of the


bonds of the said Eastern Shore Railroad Company,


as aforesaid; and


WHEREAS the said sale has been duly reported by


the said trustee to the said court, and has been by

WHEREAS, afterwards, to wit, on the said nine-


teenth day of February, eighteen hundred and sev-


enty-nine, George K. Dennis, Thomas Sudler, Wil-


liam H. Koach, William H. Gale, Hampden H.


Dashiell, Levin Woolford, Levin L. Waters and Wil-


liam J. Brittingham, of Somerset county, Edward


Stanley Toad vine and Elihu E. Jackson, of Wicom-


ico county, in the State of Maryland, Samuel M


Felton, W. L. Schaeffer and W. C. Longstreth, of


the State of Pennsylvania, and Willard Thomson,


of the State of Delaware, under and in pursuance


of the provisions of the Act of Assembly, passed at


January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-six,

chapter two hundred and forty-two, did organize


themselves into a corporation under the name and


style of the Eastern Shore Kailroad Company, as


reorganized, for the purposes contained in the cer-


tificate of incorporation of the said company, duly


executed and certified in accordance with the re-


quirements of the said act, and filed and recorded


in the office of the Secretary of State of the State


of Maryland, in accordance with said act ; and


WHEREAS the said Eastern Shore Kailroad Com-


pany, as reorganized, is desirous of acquiring, by
purchase, from the said present holders thereof, the


said Eastern Shore Kailroad and all the rolling stock

and property of every kind, furniture, effects, fran-


chises and corporate rights, formerly belonging to
