SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That the said Eastern Shore Kail-


road Company, as reorganized, be and the same is

sess all and singular the said rolling stock, property


of every kind, furniture and effects, and all the


franchises, corporate rights and chartered privileges


conferred on the said Eastern Shore Railroad Com-


pany by the Act of Assembly passed at January ses-


sion, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter


eighty-four, entitled "An act to incorporate the


Eastern Shore Railroad Company," except in so far


as the provisions of the said charter may be amended
by this or any future Act of Assembly ; but the said


Eastern Shore Railroad Company, as reorganized,

and franchises shall have been so acquired by pur-
