the largest railroad yard in the United States, and is con-
nected by a bridge across the Potomac River with one of the
principal graded hard roads extending through Loudoun
county, Virginia, is three miles distant from the said State
road from Frederick to Knoxville, at the Town of Peters-
ville; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 91 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland of 1910, title "Surveyor and State Survey," sub-title
"Public Roads," said new sections to come in after section
32Z4, as enacted by Chapter 141 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1908, and amended by Chapter 116
of the Acts of 1910, and to read as follows:

SEC. 32Z5. And be if enacted, That the State Roads Com-
mission be and are hereby authorized and empowered to con-
struct about three miles of hard road leading from the Balti-
more and Ohio Depot in Brunswick to and connecting with the
State road at Petersville, in Frederick county, Maryland, said
road to be constructed of the same material and according to
the same plans as are generally used by the said commission in
its roadbuilding; provided, however, that the cost of same be
deducted from any funds now available for Frederick county,
or that may hereafter become available from any future bond
issue. And to be a charge against the pro rata apportionment
of Road Funds for Frederick county, Maryland.

SEC. 32z6. And be it enacted, That the State Roads Com-
mission of Maryland have full authority and right to widen,
straighten, grade or alter this road and condemn or take any
property necessary therefor in the same manner and under the
same law or laws as they are now authorized to use in widening,,
altering, grading or condemning for State roads.

CHAPTER 582.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of the
Commissioners of Charities and Corrections for Frederick
County for the indebtedness incurred for the support and
maintenance at Montevue Hospital of dependent insane per-
sons of Maryland for year 1911, the maintenance, care, con-
