trol and treatment of whom was charged to the State of
Maryland by the provisions of Chapter 435 of the Laws of
Maryland, 1908.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
authorized to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer of the State
for the sum of eleven thousand six hundred and sixty dollars,
payable out of the funds in the Treasury not otherwise appro-
priated, in favor of the Commissioners of Charities and Correc-
tions for Frederick County, to pay the claim of the State Com-
missioners of Charities and Corrections for Frederick County
for the indebtedness incurred for the support and maintenance
at Montevue Hospital of 200 dependent insane persons of Mary-
land for the year 1911, the maintenance, care, control and
treatment of whom was charged to the State of Maryland by
the provisions of Chapter 435 of the Laws of Maryland, 1908.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
The item of "eleven thousand six hundred and sixty dollars''
in this act, is hereby approved to the extent and amount of ten
thousand dollars, and disapproved to the extent and amount of
sixteen hundred and sixty dollars.

CHAPTER 583.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County School Commis-
sioners of Frederick county to pay annually, in their discre-
tion, to the Sisters of Charity of Saint Euphemia's School, a
sum of money from the money received from Frederick
county for school purposes for educating colored children.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Asesmbly of Mary-
land, That the County School Commissioners of Frederick
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
pay annually, in their discretion, a sum of money not exceed-
ing two hundred and fifty dollars, to the Sisters of Charity of
Saint Euphemia's School, from the money received by them
from the County Commissioners of Frederick county for school
purposes for educating colored children in said school.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
