650 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [Ch. 461]

amendment to its charter, filed with the State Tax Commis-
sioner, to ratify and confirm the acquisition by it of all the
property or assets formerly owned or possessed by the Wash-
ington, Baltimore and Annapolis Electric Railway Company,
and to confirm or vest in said Washington, Baltimore and
Annapolis Electric Railroad Company certain powers, rights,
immunities, privileges and franchises heretofore possessed or
enjoyed by the said Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis
Electric Railway Company, and to confer upon said Wash-
ington, Baltimore and Annapolis Electric Railroad Company
certain other powers, rights, immunities, privileges and fran-
chises.

WHEREAS, The president and a majority of the directors of the
Baltimore Terminal Company did, on or about March 31,
1911, duly execute and acknowledge a certificate of amend-
ment of its charter, which said certificate was certified to be
and to be executed in conformity with the law by one of the
judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, and did
deliver the same to the State Tax Commissioner with the
amount of the recording fees only, as required by law, which
said certificate of amendment of charter was duly and
promptly recorded by said State Tax Commissioner, and the
original or a duly certified copy of said certificate of amend-
ment was sent by said State Tax Commissioner for recording
to the Clerk of the Superior Court of Baltimore City, and
has been duly recorded by said clerk; and,

WHEREAS, Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis Electric Rail-
way Company acquired certain franchises and was possessed
of certain powers, rights, immunities and privileges under
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1900, Chapter
307, and of 1902, Chapter 361, and under the General Laws
of this State, and acquired certain property, assets and fran-
chises, including those of the Annapolis, Washington and
Baltimore Railroad Company; and

WHEREAS, In pursuance of sections 275-278, inclusive, of Arti-
cle 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland of
1904, all the powers, rights, immunities, privileges and fran-
chises in respect to the railroad of the Washington, Balti-
