CHAPTER 373.

 

Aw act to authorise the condemnation of a piece of ground

at Mill Stone Landing, in St. Mary's County.

 

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-

bly, by the petition of sundry citizens of St. Mary's

 

county, in the vicinity of Mill Stone landing in said

 

county, that they labour under great inconvenience for

 

want of a public landing at the above mentioned

 

place: — Therefore.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Commissioners to

Maryland, That Robert Crane, John Mil borne and

examine and de-termine

Cornelius Kirby, be and they, or a any two of them,

 

are hereby appointed commissioners to meet at the

 

place commonly called Mill Stone landing, on the

 

Patuxent river, in St. Mary's county, to examine and

 

determine whether the public convenience docs require

 

that a public landing should be established at or near

 

said landing, and if in their opinion the public conve-

nience does require the said landing to be established,

 

then they, or any two of them, shall lay out a quantity

 

of land not exceeding one acre, at or near the place

 

above specified, in such manner as they, or any two of

 

them, may think most conducive to the public benefit;

 

and the said commissioners, or any two of them, are

 

hereby required to return a plot of said landing place
