be as good and valid as if the same had been made by

the county surveyor; and all proceedings had under

 

commissions, warrants, writs, orders or other process,

 

executed by any surveyor other than the county sur-

 

veyor, and all plats and certificates returned by such

 

other surveyor shall be as valid and effectual in law

 

to all intents and purposes as if the work had been

 

performed by the county surveyor, any law to the

 

contrary notwithstanding.

 

CHAPTER 254.

 

An act to make valid a deed therein mentioned.

 
 

Passed Mar.24,1836

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-

 

bly, that a certain John W. Scuffin of Washington

Preamble

county, lias made and executed a deed of bargain and

 

sale to his father Charles Scuffin, bearing date on the

 

fifth day of December, eighteen hundred and thirty-

 

five, intended to convey a certain piece of land lying

 

in said county, which said deed by reason of the mi-

 

nority of said John W. Scuffin, is insufficient to pass

 

a legal title to the premises mentioned in the said deed,

 

and whereas it has been represented that the said piece

 

of land was originally purchased by Charles Scuffin,

 

and the purchase money paid by him, and the legal ti-

 

tle passed to the said John W. Scuffin for the benefit

 

of the said Charles Scuffin, who at the time of the

 

purchase was an alien, and is now a naturalized citi-

 

zen, — Therefore.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

That upon the recording of said deed agreeably to the

several provisions of law now in existence, the same

 

shall he valid as regards any claim of the State of Ma-

 

ryland, to all intents and purposes.

 

CHAPTER 255.
