Sons through whose land said road may be tnade to

pass, taking into consideration the advantages and dis-

advantages, if any, and the damages so ascertained
|
 
|
shall be levied and assessed as other county charges in
|
Levy— payment

Said counties are, and shall be paid by the counties
|
 
|
wherein such damages may be sustained, to the persons
|
 
|
thereunto entitled.
|
 
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
|

sioners or a majority of them before they proceed to

act, shall take an oath or affirmation, as the case may
|
 
|
be, before some justice of the peace, that they will
|
 
|
Without favor, partiality or prejudice, assess the da-

mages sustained by the person or person through whose

land the said road may pass.

CHAPTER 122.
|
 
|
An act to condemn and, lay off a lot of ground for a pub-

lic wharf, at Cedar Hall Landing, on the Pocomoke

|
river, in Worcester county, and to make public a road
|
 
|
therein mentioned,
|
 
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
|

|
bly, by the petition of sundry inhabitants of Worcester
|
 
|
county, that they labor under great inconveniences for
|
 
|
want of a public wharf at Cedar Hall Landing, on
|
 
|
Pocomoke river, and the making public a road there-
|
 
|
to: — Therefore,
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Commissioners to
|
Maryland, That Lewis Henderson, senior, Esau Bos-
|
locate a landing
|
ton, John S. Stevenson, James B. Horsey and Handy
|
 
|
Mills, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners
|
 
|
to lay out, survey, mark and bound a piece of ground
|
 
|
of such size and extent as they may deem expedient
|
 
|
for a public wharf at Cedar Hall Landing, on Poco-
|
 
|
moke river, in Worcester county, in such a form as the
|
 
|
nature of the ground and the convenience of the land-
|
 
|
holders will permit.
|
 
|
SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That the above named
|
