the said lot of ground shall be condemned as a public

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners

Lay out and open

(appointed, by the commissioners of the county as afore-

a road

said, to locate the public landing as hereinbefore pro-

 

vided, be and they are hereby authorised and required

 

to lay out, locate and open a public road from said

 

landing, when the same shall have been located as afore-

 

said, to some convenient point on the nearest public or

 

county road in the vicinity of said landing so located

 

as aforesaid, and the said commissioners shall make a

 

return thereof to the county commissioners, as is now

 

required by the existing laws, as regards the opening

 

of public roads in said county, and the said commissio-

 

ners shall be entitled to the same compensation for their

Compensation

services as commissioners are now allowed for similar

 

services, when appointed by the county commissioners,

 

under the existing laws, to lay out and open county

 

roads in said county.

 

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the Commissioners

Levy directed

of Baltimore county are hereby authorised and re-

 

quired to levy, upon the assessable property of said

 

county, the sum of money necessary to carry into effect

 

the provisions of this act; Provided the amount, for

 

opening said road, shall not exceed one hundred dollars,

 

and to pay or cause the same to be paid over to the

 

party or parties that may be entitled to receive the

 

same.

 

CHAPTER 110.

 

An act to authorise John Archer, of Cecil county, and

Passed Mar. 1. 1836

Ann Archer, of Harford county, to construct certain

 

Wharves.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

Authority granted

That John Archer, of Cecil county, and Ann Archer,

 

of Harford county, be and they are hereby authorised

 

to extend such Wharves as have been, or may be con-

 

structed upon their property, or that of either of them,

 

bordering on the river Susquehanna, such a distance
