To the Senate:
I have the honor to inform you that I have approved the
following Senate Bills :
No. 147. A bill entitled an Act to refund to Ellen Hevalo,
of Cecil county, a sum of money erroneously demanded of
her by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cecil county, for a
license, and paid by said Clerk into the Treasury.
No. 149. A bill entitled an Act to provide for the payment
of a certain sum of money to Charles H. Gibson, State's At-
torney, for Talbot county, for professional services rendered
the State.
No. 172. A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Caroline county, to borrow money on the
credit of the county, for the purpose of remodelling and im-
proving the Court House in said county, and constructing the
necessary fire-proof vaults, for the preservation of the Re-
cords and Court papers of the Circuit and Orphans' Court of
said county, to issue bonds for the payment of the same and
to levy taxes on the assessable property of said county, to re-
deem such bonds and to pay the interest thereon.
No. 150. A bill entitled an Act to establish a Commission
of Fisheries of the State of Maryland, define its duties, and
to appropriate a sum of money to defray the expenses thereof.
No. 151. A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 20 of
chapter 322 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January Session, 1867, entitled an Act to
incorporate the Worcester and Somerset Rail Road Company.
No. 152. A bill entitled an Act to legalize the bequest
made by William Thomas Syers, to St. Patrick's Church of
Cumberland, Allegany county.
No. 154, A bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
entitled an Act to incorporate the Ridge Passenger Railway
Company, passed March 22nd, 1867, chapter 331.
No. 157. A bill entitled an Act to empower the Frederick
and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road Company to lease its road.
No. 174. A bill entitled an Act to pay to Banner Graves,
