LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Aggrieved

feeling aggrieved at their action, shall have right of

 

appeal as hereinbefore provided. When any new

 

road is located, old road altered, or any road sur-

 

veyed, said road shall be not less than thirty feet in

 

width, and it shall be the duty of the supervisors to

 

provide suitable bounding stones and have them se-

 

curely planted at such points as they may deem

 

necessary. The supervisors shall receive for their

 

services two dollars and fifty cents for each day en-

 

gaged in any of the duties of their office, which shall

 

be paid out of the special road fund of their respec-

 

tive districts, and they are hereby authorized to

 

incur any expense necessary for the proper work of

 

the roads or the duties of their offices ; provided.

however, that no account shall be paid unless endorsed

 

by the chairman and at least one of the other super-

 

visors, and approved by the County Commissioners;

 

and provided, further, that no supervisor shall re-

 

ceive any pay or per diem for his services in super-

 

intending the work of hands upon the roads of said

 

county, unless he shall make affidavit that he had

 

for every day so charged for his services as aforesaid

 

at least six able-bodied hands, not under eighteen

 

years of age, in his employment upon said roads, and

 

at least one horse and cart; and shall also make

in superintending said hands during the time so

 

charged; and provided, further, that the County

 

Commissioners of said county shall in no case pay

 

any supervisor any money on account of his own per

 

diem or the wages of any of his hands, or any of his

davit that he hasposted in two of the most public places

 

in his sub-road district a copy of the detailed account

 

presented to the said commissioners for payment; and
