CHAPTER 20.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Agricul-

tural and Mechanical Society of Allegany county

and West Virginia and Pennsylvania, to issue

Coupon bonds, and to secure the payment thereof,

by executing a deed of trust on all its property.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the Agricultural and Mechanical

Society of Allegany county and West Virginia and

Pennsylvania, may and is hereby authorized and

empowered to issue coupon bonds, bearing six per

cent, interest, to an amount not exceeding twenty

thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be deemed

necessary, in such sums as the President and Board of

Managers of said society may deem proper, payable

ten years after the date thereof, and to secure the

payment of said bonds and the coupons for the

semi-annual interest, at the rate of six per cent, per
