SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That they shall have power to

most public places in said town that the same may be generally
|

known.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That they shall have full power
|
 
|
|
and authority to make all such by-laws, regulations and or-
|

dinances, not inconsistent with the Constitution and laws of

the State, as from time to time they may deem wise, equitable

and sufficient for the comfort, health, convenience and prosperity
|

of the said town and its inhabitants, for the prevention or re-

|
|
moval of nuisances, preservation of health and suppression of

vice and immorality within the limits of said town; and they
|
 
|
|
shall have power to levy every third year an equal tax upon
|
 
|
|
the property within the said limits to such an amount as may
|
 
|
|
from time to time be deemed necessary to accomplish the pur-
|
 
|
|
poses aforesaid; provided, however, that the taxes so levied
|
 
|
|
shall not exceed the sum of thirty cents on the hundred dollars
|
 
|
|
for any one year, which lax shall be collected by a collector
|
 
|
|
appointed for that purpose, and paid over to the president and

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the collector appointed by
