                    ALTERATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION.                    xxxvii.

An Act (t) to repeal all that part of the Constitution and Form of Government as
    relates to the division of Dorchester County into three separate Election Districts.

    WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, that great convenience
would result to the voters of Dorchester county, by increasing the number of
election districts in said county; therefore,
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Dorchester county,
for the purpose of holding all future elections for delegates, electors of
senate, and sheriffs of the aforesaid county, shall be divided and laid off into
five separate districts.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That all that part of the constitution and form of 
government whereby Dorchester county hath been divided and laid off into
three separate districts, for the purpose aforesaid, be and the same is hereby repealed.
    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if this act shall be confirmed by the general
assembly of Maryland, after the next election of delegates, in the first session
after such new election, as the constitution and form of government directs, in
such case this act and the alteration herein contained, shall constitute and be
considered as a part of the said constitution and form of government, to all
intents and purposes, any thing therein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

An Act (v) to confirm an act, entitled, An act to repeal all that part of the Constitution
    and Form of Government as relates to the division of Dorchester County
    into three separate Election Districts.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the act passed
at December session eighteen hundred and sixteen, entitled, An act to repeal
all that part of the constitution and form of government as relates to the
division of Dorchester county into three separate election districts, be and the
same is hereby confirmed.

An Act (w) to alter and change all and every part of the Constitution and Form of
    Government as relates to the Attorney General.

                                                (w)  1816, ch. 247.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That all and every
part of the constitution and form of government of this state, which relates to
the attorney general, be and the same is hereby abrogated, annulled, and made
void.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the duties and services, now provided by law
to be done and performed by the attorney general, shall be done and performed
by such persons, and in such manner, as the general assembly of Maryland
shall hereafter direct.
    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if this act shall be confirmed by the general
assembly of Maryland, after the next election of delegates, in the first session
after such new election, as the constitution and form of government directs, in
such case this act, and the alterations of the constitution and form of government,
to all intents and purposes, any thing therein contained to the contrary
notwithstanding.
